2003- Present:  Licensed California Attorney (also admitted to New York, Washington, D.C. and Court of Military Appeals).  Solo practitioner on land use and real estate matters.

2001-2003:  Senior Deputy County Counsel (Attorney), for Land Use and the Environment, San Diego County.  Handled litigation and compliance matters involving real estate, land use, development and environmental matters as in-house counsel to the San Diego County Department of Planning and Land Use.  Close work with the Department of Environmental Health, Public Works and various local and state government agencies on all matters involving land and real estate.
 
1999-2001:  Associate Attorney, Luce, Forward, Hamilton & Scripps, LLP, San Diego, California.  Attorney handling real estate litigation and compliance matters involving land use, real estate development, sales, condominium matters and all aspects of environmental real estate practice.
 
1996-1999:  Attorney, United States Navy Judge Advocate General's Corps, (Washington, D.C. and San Diego, California).  Complete full tour of duty and six months of military training, leadership and legal training.  Trial attorney handling prosection and defense under the Uniform Code of Military Justice.  Extensive administrative enviromental law and land use experience handling land use matters involving Base Realignment and Closure.  Received Navy Achievement Medal from Four-Star Admiral for Outstanding Performance of Duties as real estae, land use and environmental lawyer for White House interest Navy land matters.
 
1995-1996:  Research Attorney, United States Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources.  While completing a Masters Degree in Environmental Law worked full-time on land use matters involving Federal Agencies, including, but not limited, to the Department of the Interior and Environmental Protection Agency.

1996:  George Washington University, National Law Center (Washington, D.C.) LL.M. in Environmental Law (with an emphasis on land use planning).  Published two law review articles (University of Virginia Environmental Law Journal & Villanova Environmental Law Journal).
